Once a year our entire Meta-Active team meets to discuss the progress and outlook of our collaborative project. In 2024 we are gathering in Jena at the Beutenberg campus and we look forward to welcoming 6 doctoral candidates and 4 PIs from Canberra. The program is now set and promises a week full of scientific exchange and project discussions. Each doctoral candidates and postdoc is asked to present the current status and results. These intense sessions will take place in hybrid style to connect the members in Canberra who are not travelling to the meeting. Link to the program.pdf, 62 kb · de

Co-organized by Meta-Active and co-located with the annual meeting the conference "Jena LIGHT – Photonics meets AI" takes place from 3-6 September 2024 and connects seamlessly with our meeting. The conference particularly aims to bring together world-leading researchers in the field of neuromorphic photonic systems, quantum photonic technologies, nanooptics, and computer science, to explore and discuss the current challenges and future potentials in the field of neuromorphic photonics. The presentations of all speakers will be in-depth lectures of some of the most current research topics and a real treat for our young researchers to widen their horizon.
